Dr. Andrew Y. Sun, MD: A Leader in Men’s Health and Andrology
Dr. Andrew Y. Sun is a distinguished, fellowship-trained Men’s Health Urologist and Director of the largest Men’s Health clinic in Texas. His profound commitment to this specialized field stems from a lifetime immersed in medicine; as a child, he literally grew up in a hospital where his parents, both clinical pharmacologists, conducted their doctoral work. While early experiences included laboratory research at the National Institutes of Health, Dr. Sun ultimately pursued the direct patient connection inherent in medicine.
Elite Training and Expertise
Dr. Sun’s educational journey reflects a dedication to excellence. He graduated Valedictorian from the University of Maryland with dual degrees in Biology and Economics, then earned his Medical Degree from Harvard Medical School, where he was inducted into the prestigious Aesculapian Club. His rigorous urology residency was completed at the renowned Cleveland Clinic Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute, the world’s largest urology program. It was during this time, particularly through a rotation at Veterans Affairs, that he developed his focused interest in men’s health, recognizing the critical need for specialized care.
To further refine his expertise, Dr. Sun pursued advanced fellowship training in Male Reproductive and Sexual Medicine (Andrology) at UCLA. There, he gained invaluable knowledge from leading experts, solidifying his position among a select group of specialists uniquely equipped to address complex men’s health issues. Dr. Sun’s philosophy is encapsulated by the mottos of his training institutions: Harvard’s “Veritas” (truth) combined with Cleveland Clinic’s “Patients First” underscore his approach to honest, patient-centered care.
Advancing Men’s Health and Patient Care
Dr. Sun’s practice is exclusively dedicated to optimizing men’s sexual, hormonal, and reproductive health. He expertly treats conditions such as hypogonadism (low testosterone), erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease, male infertility, and post-prostate cancer recovery. Recognizing the sensitive nature of these topics, he ensures a compassionate, straightforward, and personalized approach for every patient.
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Sun is a prominent figure in the international Andrology community. He is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences, contributes to clinical guidelines for the Sexual Medicine Society of North America, and leads men’s health initiatives for organizations like Specialty Networks and LUGPA. He consults for major pharmaceutical companies, guiding the development of innovative therapies. Notably, Dr. Sun directs the nation’s first combined MD/APP Erectile Restoration training program in partnership with Boston Scientific and is ranked among the top 10 highest-volume penile implant surgeons in the United States.
Dr. Sun’s dedication extends to empowering men to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. His advanced training, leadership, and patient-first philosophy ensure comprehensive, tailored care that addresses both the physical and emotional aspects of men’s health.

Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Sun enjoys traveling, alpine hiking, military history, formula 1 racing, and shooting sports. He lives in Dallas with his wife, Serena, and their Corgi, Tiberius.
